Being Disfellowshipped + On-Going Cycle of Depression
by Cimarrona ini've been disfellowshipped for six years, since i was 18. i struggle with depression and self-destructive habits (minor in comparison to the suicides, substance abuse, risky sexual behavior of others i've grown up with who have left or were too afraid to leave).
i'm fairly successful for my age - respected in my field, i have an extensive curriculum vitae of published writing, presentations, and other projects.
yet, i often feel worthless and unloveable.

The Watchtower's Real Crisis

i've come to believe that money may be something of an issue, but its wrapped up in a much larger problem.
this came to me this morning when reading about the annual meeting.. i think the society's leadership is just plain out of ideas.

I have been working on a variance of that since the mid 1980's when Matt.24:34 went from "singular" to "plural. Enough to have my tactics of writing letters to publishers homes to be included into the 2013 talk on "Human Apostates".
Jeff I read your stuff pretty close on the money issues. As to the church's money issues and two billion from Brooklyn assets "Orphan Crow's" post which includes a You Tube video of Lorenz Reibling in Argentina offering multiple multi million dollar funding of "worthy developments" fits right in with the question as to where has two billion dollars disappeared to. Close connections between Mr. Reibling and WTB&TS.

Mary was not a medical assistant! Her name is Sharon, she is now married to my uncle. She was a nurse. The issue was a married sister scheduled for a abortion, Sharon went to the sister tried to change her mind about ending a human life, the sister did not listen, she went to the elders to try to save a human life, they failed. The abortion happened, Sharon was black balled from the medical profession.
I did a post on this before and everyone completely missed the point as they went off on how Sharon got what she deserved. The point of this article is that it is designed for a certain purpose that of creating a TOOL to use in the control of people!
The whole article is a deception! Smoke and mirrors! Even the guy who was assigned to write the article thought it pure deceptive bull shit!
That can be seen by the commentary on Lev.5:1 as the man doing the cursing is before a convened court room setting and is the victim of a crime yet has the power to put forth the call for a witness of the crime to forward to testify so as to establish justice. Take the time to research Google search commentary on Lev.5:1 go to Bible Hub, read commentaries. Gill's commentary uses the word "neighbor" to show that the entire community had the legal right to put forth a "call to testify" as justice was a community responsibility. There was no "not my problem" attitude to crime being committed to other people.
Read the new RNWT revision on Lev.5:1 and ask why has this major change been cloaked in silence by the WTB&TS?
In the 2013 talk on "Human Apostates" there was mention of a apostate who was writing letters to the homes of the publishers. I am that man. This article "A Time to Speak When" was the subject of those letters. The reason for letters was to plug into the internal church 'grape vine' so as to out flank the shunning policy designed to isolate publishers from information.
The issue was how Lev.5:1 per Wt article "A Time to Speak When" related to a $4,250,000 unregistered securities swindle and two law enforcement agencies letters which elders refused to forward to Merton Campbell on the Northern California Service Desk.
A researcher investigating another widow being defrauded by the same swindler Googled the swindlers name and up popped his name connected to my name and took him directly to this web site and my postings. Evidently the matter was taken to a judicial meeting and Ray was [again] found guilty of defrauding another in a long series of widows out of $100,000.00 as he is to make restitution in the amount of $40.00 a month. Ray got a hundred thousand the widow gets $40.00 until it gets forgotten.
My efforts surrounding "A Time to Speak When?" deal specifically around a swindler who ever since 1982 has been defrauding widows out of hundred of thousands of dollars with in the JW church. He is a master corrupter of anything and anyone he touch's [a Frank Colombo of the NY mob] couple him with WTB&TS traveling men who will sell the Word of God through "simony" and bribes Isa.1:23 at the drop of a hat, widows will be defrauded and no one cares.
But! What was the reason why the WTB&TS instructed a writer the assignment to write a article that he did not personally agree with to where he very slyly slipped in a very subtle "key" to unlock the deception. You have to really read careful as the commentary on Lev.5:1 in no way related to the application it was used for. The commentary and the application DON'T MIX!!! There was a reason the writer was forced to write something he did not agree with! And somebody smarter than me knows what that reason was. But they said I can't tell and that I can wait just like everyone else to find out the reason behind the article "A Time to Speak When?".
Now we all got something to look forward to.

the Wt article is Sept. 1 1987 "A Time to Speak When" . Look up my posts on this site.
A researcher Googled the name of the swindler the subject of my posts and this web site popped up. The swindler had to appear before the Judicial committee for swindling another widow out of $100,000, evidently found guilty and is to make restitution of $40.00 a month. He was not disfellowshipped as he was able to show that the court records used against him were derived from this web site. So he got a hundred thousand the widow gets $40.00. If you Google my name Bill Covert there will pop up my name minus the swindlers name. Then the opening sentence of my post on this site, plus a snide reference as to post on JW Survey. All having to do with Lev.5:1 and Wt article "A Time to Speak When".

it's exceedingly well put together and informative... i am streaming it at my own convenience from the pbs app but i notice that each installment has an expiration date so if you don't start watching, you may miss it altogether and it would be your loss.. i had no idea....

Yes I am watching. Oliver Stone did a history documentary which got into the 'hows' and 'whys' it got started. Both show the mind sets that got the country into the conflict and the face saving that kept the nation in the war.
I have spent the week reflecting on the same thought processes repeating its self with in the WTB&TS management. As they are maneuvering in preparation of molestation sanctions ahead of them.
I am one of those felons who were prevented from taking community service in lieu of military induction as it was a violation of christian conscience, per WTB&TS. Still not happy about that

A ER Doc friend of mine [raised a JW] told me every hospital ER room has the JW blood. Not for the doctors benefit but to cut time wastage because of uneducated JW patients having to halt treatment to go ask their elders if treatment is permissible.

This is why the Elders should always call the WT society or personal attorney before ever talking to the Police.
by StoneWall inthis is probably going to unnerve some on here or make them uncomfortable.we always hear, why didn't the elders call the cops first instead of the wt society (lawyers/attorneys).
in cases of child molestation or other incidents.this video is why and if you're smart you'll follow their example.i'm not taking the wtbts side on this just so you know in advance because i do not agree with the two witness rule at all.but be that as it may,this is by far the best lawyer/attorney and law professor i've ever heard on the subject of why you should never talk to the police and always let an investigation be made through counsel.this is why in the usa you have the right to remain silent when talking to police/authorities but even more important what the fifth amendment really entails and why it would behoove us all to understand what can happen even if you are totally innocent and have nothing to hide but how things can go horribly wrong.if i ever have to go to court for anything i can only hope that i got a lawyer as competent as this one the vid is approx 46 minutes long but well worth investing that time because if you had to talk to a lawyer it would cost you a lot to receive what this professor covers in this.the majority is from the law professor and the remaining minutes are of a former police captain/investigator with his insights and opinions.and just to be clear, i'm not suggesting that the elders not call the police because they should in cases of child molestation but rather they better get legal advice to protect themselves so that they don't have to answer for the wtbts decisions.look how many former (ex) elders we have on sites like this one and others and i'm so happy they got free of the wt but also they didn't get in trouble by accidentally saying/doing the wrong thing.all of us can benefit by following this advice in the video and i hope you enjoy it and to know what your rights arehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d-7o9xyp7ee.

Every church elder should have such a policy to protect him being held accountable for WTBS policy.

by darkspilver ini'm sure orphancrow will be able to fill in the details for us.. front page news with picture all over the canadian globe and mail newspaper today.. with major double-page spread across the whole of pages 8 and 9 in the newspaper's front section.. globe and mail, tuesday 8 august 2017.. the patient, a 70-year-old man with high-risk prostate cancer, was a jehovah’s witness.. his religion was one of the reasons he decided to undergo surgery at st. joseph’s healthcare in hamilton, home to a robot named da vinci whose steady metal hands can remove a prostate with scant risk of the blood transfusions forbidden by the man’s faith.. on a recent afternoon, the patient laid unconscious on an operating table as surgeon bobby shayegan and his team plunged a camera and three robotically controlled surgical instruments through small incisions in his abdomen.. dr. shayegan settled himself in front of a three-dimensional screen, clasped the two joysticks that controlled the tools inside his patient’s pelvis and proceeded to cut, cauterize and stitch until he freed the man’s prostate, pulling it out through one of the original incisions.. there was next to no blood.. “that was routine,” dr. shayegan said afterward, holding the plum-sized gland that he and the robot had removed together.
...in its first real ruling on a robotic surgery, the expert committee that advises ontario on which new health technologies to pay for said there was no good evidence that robot-assisted radical prostatectomy is any better than conventional open surgery when it comes to controlling cancer or preserving urinary and sexual function.. the panel said the robot’s other benefits – patients have smaller incisions, lose less blood, suffer less pain and leave the hospital sooner – were not significant enough to justify spending, on average, an extra $3,224 a case, a figure that does not include the millions that wealthy benefactors have spent buying the machines for canadian hospitals.

I went the robot, at a leading cancer center "City of Hope" LA Ca.
The blood issue is no major issue in this type of sugary.
Incontinence is the major issue, how much the plumbing leaks after operation. The robot is very precise, using magnification, air pressure to create space for minimal amount of tissue to be cut. The movements are very controlled through what ever setting the operator sets. A major determining factor of sugary success lies in the patient and how serious he takes his pelvic floor exercises.
This is just personal opinion. A surgeon told me sugary is one half science, one half art. A highly skilled surgeon is just that. The robot can take a good surgeon and make him competitive with a higher skilled surgeon. Sugary has three factors 1; how healthy we have maintained our body, 2; skill of surgeon, 3; how serious we do our rehab. Personally for me the robot was a much wiser decision then the Urologist I knew from the gym.
